DONOTDO, 2017
Mixed-media on paper
89 x 58 cm

I was bitten by a friend’s dog in October 2017, just several months ago. In the hospital, I didn’t report the dog since it was my friend’s pet. To my surprise, I, later on, found that the dog had a history of biting, and the owner didn’t take necessary precautions to prevent what happened to me.

On a different note, the horrid incident was a wake-up call for me to return to doing what I am most passionate about, which is painting and drawing. I had become inundated with doing things that didn’t serve my higher self. And for that, I paid the price.

This painting shows my inner frustration and growing concern for the situation, as I do feel the dog is dangerous to the public.
